Liza-Handly Hughes

Liza-Handly is majoring in Southern Studies and minoring in Sport Administration. She is an undergraduate student manager for the Ole Miss Women’s Basketball team, where she assists in managing/supporting operations of the Division I SEC Program including assisting with practices, working on the bench during games, running the scoreboard/clock, inputting data into Fast Recruit software, assisting with recruiting efforts, assisting with donor relations and attending donor events, researching potential NIL (name, Image, & Likeness) deals for players, setting up and attending photo shoots, increasing student attendance at games, and organizing equipment room. She is also an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority, where she has had positions as a SET Leader, Recruitment Team Assistant, Community Service Committee, Social Events Committee, Risk Management Committee, and Points Committee. Liza-Handly is excited to serve as the student liaison between University of Mississippi’s Athletic Department, student-athletes, and the student body to gather feedback and provide input on initiatives to optimize the player experience and game-day fan experience through her role as Principal of Athletics.
