Legislative Advocacy Board
The Legislative Advocacy Board (LAB) is a nonpartisan group within the University of Mississippi's Associated Student Body that engages with elected officials at local, state, and federal levels to influence policy on behalf of the University. LAB members research key issues, write briefings, organize meetings, and coordinate the ASB Legislative Advocacy Day at the State Capitol. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape legislative goals, build relationships with government officials, and gain hands-on experience in advocacy. The board consists of 8-10 members who report to the ASB Principal of External Affairs.
