Housing Committee Survey
The Senate Committee on Housing is the ASB’s primary group dedicated to addressing the housing concerns and related needs of the University of Mississippi student body. The Committee shall collaborate with campus and community partners to learn more about housing insecurity in the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) community, voice the diverse perspectives of the student body as they relate to housing and research and recommend potential solutions to macro-level housing issues, including but not limited to affordability, housing supply, the market leasing season, eviction, renter education, safety, accessibility, and inclusivity.

To refurbish Student Housing Maintenance Requests
To continue to support the newly structured Student Housing Hall Councils
To evaluate the new Student Housing Master Leases
To compile leases to evaluate student-compatible housing
To build and strengthen relationships between on and off-campus housing groups
To advocate for all students in the housing markets
Goals.
To publish a report from the 2023 Student Housing Survey from ASB
To construct and begin use of a housing education module for EDHE classes
To publish a compiled list of on-campus housing FAQs and answers

2024-2025 Legislation
During Senate on Sept. 24, 2024, Senator Wesley Templey passed legislation to amend the Student body code by clarifying types of legislation by Senate.
