Election Day is Tuesday, September 17, 2024. In the case of a run-off election, Run-off Election Day is Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Voting takes place on your MyOleMiss portal from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on election day. To find the ballot, search “Vote” and click on “Vote in Student Elections.” Students may submit ONE ballot.
In the event of a technical issue, students may submit a paper ballot in the ASB office on Election Day.

The DOJ will have a informational sign for each candidate in the election, posted outside the ASB Office (Union J301)
King/Queen/MoMs have the opportunity to table during the public campaign period (September 9-17) on the Union Plaza. Maids may also be present on the Plaza.
Candidates may also use social media and GroupMe to communicate their platforms with students. All campaign social media posts should be tagged with #UMVotes to help students find their information.

Your petition and transcript (freshman do not need a transcript) should be turned into the DOJ ballot box in the ASB Office, Union J301, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

A “campaign manager” is usually the DOJ’s second point of contact in the event that they need to get in touch with a candidate. Also, being a candidate is stressful, and a campaign manager may assist the candidate with helping organize resources and other campaigners. It is not a necessary part of campaigning.

NO! Should a candidate choose to use photos for their campaign, they can be any appropriate photos.

NO! Money spent, within budget, is up to every candidate individually. For further information on budgeting, the expense reports from past elections is located here!
